Drei irische Harfenmelodien arrangiert für Ukulele solo.Der Ire Tourlough O’Carolan lebte von 1670 bis 1738. Er zog als blinder Musiker durch Irland und unterhielt seine Gastgeber mit seinen Harfenliedern in keltischer Sprache. Seit meinen längeren Irland-Aufenthalten hatte ich mehrere Melodien O’Carolans für klassische Gitarre solo arrangiert und in zwei Heften veröffentlicht. Als gleichzeitig O’Carolan- und Ukulelenfan hat es mich nun gereizt, auch einige von O‘Carolans Melodien für Ukulele zu arrangieren und zu spielen. Besonders reizvoll ist die verglichen mit der Gitarre höhere Lage der Ukulele, die so klanglich der kleinen Harfe O’Carolans näherkommt.
